Our Club
We are a thriving, and friendly bowling club offering excellent facilities to learn and play both social and competitive bowling, all year round.
We are one of the largest clubs in the Midlands – with over 150 members all of whom share similar interests and wish to play a sport which allows for individual practice or team participation.
We welcome bowlers of all ages and abilities and offer opportunities to local clubs (e.g. beavers; scouts; golf clubs; care homes) to come and try crown green bowls.
Our Bowling Greens
We have two excellently maintained bowling greens. One offers the opportunity to learn the game of crown green bowls and for social bowling and the other is a complex green offering significant competitive advantage to the more competitive bowlers.
We regularly host Warwick and Worcester mens and ladies county matches.
For details on hire of our facilities - please see the venue hire page
Short Mat Bowling
We have a range of short mats – again offering opportunities for all abilities to learn and play short mat bowls (available in the off-season).
Social Events
We offer a full programme of social events throughout the year, utilising our club house with bar and fully equipped kitchen.
Location AND VENUE HIRE
We are situated in beautiful surroundings between Dorridge Village Hall and The Railway Inn on Grange Road. Our bowling greens and modern clubhouse (accommodating up to 60 people) are available for hire.
Coaching
Due to the size of the club, we are able to offer the opportunity for professional coaching – enabling those less experienced to learn from our more experienced bowlers.
VOLUNTEERING
As the club is run completely by its members and other volunteers , there are a huge variety of volunteering opportunities available including mowing the greens; being a team or league captain; bar work; helping maintain the extensive grounds; being a committee member; making cakes or cooking food or generally just helping out at events.
